Who are you?
I’m a cyclist and technologist from rural Tennessee living in northern California with my photographer girlfriend and two cats. Nothing makes me happier than biking through Big Sur and camping in the Mojave Desert.

What do you do?
I’m an inventor, consultant, and serial entrepreneur focusing on the Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, and healthcare tech. I’ve started several tech companies and recently managed a team of user experience researchers at Google. At the moment, I’m working on integrating Large Language Models into post-acute care.

What do you believe?
I’m a non-doctrinaire Christian and New Deal liberal. I believe in the American system of government with its balance of democratic and rights-based norms. I share the moral intuitions of the 19th-century abolitionist minister and transcendentalist Theodore Parker, who said this in a sermon in 1853: "I do not pretend to understand the moral universe, the arc is a long one, my eye reaches but little ways. I cannot calculate the curve and complete the figure by the experience of sight; I can divine it by conscience. But from what I see I am sure it bends towards justice."
