Vic Marsh
Vic Marsh is a PhD candidate in Organizational Behavior with a distinguished background. Having served as a United States diplomat within the federal government's bureaucracy, Vic now focuses on institutional research, specifically studying organizational design decisions at entrepreneurial firms. Vic's doctoral dissertation delves into the topic of innovation in diversity practices, exploring why certain firms adopt turnkey diversity programs while others opt for tailored experimentation to meet their unique needs. Notably, Vic's research, conducted on six entrepreneurial tech firms in Silicon Valley with comparable HR structures and CEO political leanings, unveiled key behaviors that differentiate innovative approaches from copy-and-paste strategies. Prior to joining Leeds, Vic Marsh held diplomatic posts in Cyprus, Hong Kong & Macau, and served on the Secretary of State's headquarters team. Vic's academic background includes a BA with honors in international security studies from Stanford University and a master's degree in the same field from Princeton University.
